Hi all

I am hoping to add more vehicles to the next edition of the serial number guide and I was wondering if anyone can tell me where on the vehicle an M551's serial # is located. pic wouldbe geat but a good verbal description would be fine.
also interested in same for the following
M577
M24
M3 halftrack
any german (except Leo's)
any British
WWII russian
any japanese
any french

Jeff,
I plan on snapping some pictures of M24 Chaffee and M41 Walker Bulldog this week. I'll get some as well of the M113 family location and the M3 Halftrack. Most Halftracks have the serial number stamped into the frame, inside the drivers side front wheel-well, beside the shock mount. Due to the location, some scrapping may be required. Most M113 family vehicles have the serial number stamped into the upper front left (as you look head on at the vehicle) just below the headlight and also on the rear left side by the tail light. But I have also seen them stamped into the area right above the ramp when its in the up position.
The foriegn stuff is beyond me. I'll post them as soon as I can.
