Hooked on Hunnicutt
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Hi Folks!

- Jens_O_Mehner

Don't forget abebooks, I've picked up more than one rare book at excellent prices through them.

Just checked them for Patton and Abrams.
They listed two Patton copies, $431.25 and $573.00! Shocked
They also listed two Abrams books for $300.00 and $500.00! Shocked

Guess I will keep looking. Sad
Sgt, Scouts out!

Well you'll have all the easy ones then. The last four are the tough ones. I've been slightly surprised that there hasn't been enough demand for Abrahms to get it reprinted by Ballantine/Presidio.

Stuart was the toughest for me to get, I got lucky with Patton in that a 'net friend' had a second copy he passed on for a resonable price. Firepower was probably the second toughest (and the one I wanted most because of my interest in the M6 )

Mr. Hunnicutt emailed me a while back as "Sherman" was being reprinted. Somehow, the newest reprint implies that Mr. Hunnicutt had passed away already. He's living a comfortable retirement in CA and wanted to correct that misperception!

I have all ten as well. My luckiest nabs were getting "Stuart" for $35 off of www.bookfinder.com (another mega bookseller search engine) and getting the bulk of mine (7 of them) for $400 from a guy who was just looking to unload.

I love 'em!

I made the mistake of joking about making APG's copy of this one disappear into my bag while visiting there and Bob pretty much stayed as close as a remora for the remainder of my visit. I'm pretty sure his insistance on driving me to the airport had something to do with making sure I didn't have any purloined copies of APG's (or his) Hunnucutt's. Wink
