I like the moving (not static) items on the map with the ability to join the game anytime. Nice indeed! This is giving me the 'itch' to get a server up and running asap...

Have to agree that the MDS will be a very nice addition to the sim. The main thing I disliked about the dogfight multiplayer was that you couldn't use moving objects on it.
When The MDS guide is available I will bring it by for your perusal. Wink

Another feature that I noticed was that the QMB will allow you to add "official" maps to the QMB to help flesh that feature out.
I always wanted to be able to do that without mods.

You can also create new missions for QMB. Your favorite map is not in? No problem, add it yourself. First you need to create the mission in FMB and make 8 flights for each side. Use default squadrons only. Then you have to name them properly according to certain rules. First make a new folder in Missions/Quick/ folder. There is nothing stopping you from making fake missions, for example mission named: KievBlueArmorCoolAppendix99.mis which actually loads Norway map with None target and player at disadvantage. The GUI elements in QMB are filled according to mission filename, not according to what is actually written in the mission file.

You can also create a couple of favorite lists in QMB so you don't have to keep searching for the plane that you want to fly or fight. Smile

OK guys Zuti just came out with Vs 1.2 for 4.10m only. Does anyone know how to make it work with UP 2.01? I have tried to make it work in 4.10m but I only get air starts from bases on carriers. I guess the copy stuff from "Copy_To_STD" folder to your STD folder only applies to UP 2.01 not 4.10m cause 4.10m does not have a Mod folder with the STD folder so how do you make it work?

I've been flying IL-2 since the sim frist came out.....and just added V4.10 update.
I've got lots of sims......can't count them all over the years...but you name it, I've likely flown it.
But nothing, IMHO, even comes close the the quality and workmanship that has going into IL-2.
So this is just to say thanks to those who have produced and reproduced, and reproduced this masterpiece.

While I see that CoD appears to be having some negative feedback; we don't have it here in the U.S. yet, my guess is the bugs will be worked out and it will become a proper follow up to the original IL-2. I'd bet on it.

Recently Daidalos Team released another patch to fix some of the problems in the v4.10 patch.
No need to go looking for it since we have the v4.101m patch right here at CC.
