The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Yes things are moving out. Thats the T26E3 that used to be infront of the Museum.

The next week or so will see the load out of most of the balance of the Ft Benning vehicles currently in RMP.

Included will be the German stuff (IE Stug III, Panzer III, Panzer IV, & the Hetzer)

I'm tied up with house hunting & a busy work schedule so I may not be able to make a trip to RMP this week, but I'll see if I can have some photos taken of the newest load outs and them post them.

The Armor for the Ages web site has been updated to cover not only the volunteer program and related news of the Patton Museum, but also the new National Armor and Cavlary Museum that will be established at Fort Benning, Georgia. Because both museums evolved from common roots, it is appropriate that they both be represented under the Armor for the Ages site.

hello, I received this picture today, and it seems that the German WW2 vehicles are currently stored under a shelter somewhere.. The picture was taken on 24 May 2011. Major accomplishments yesterday on Cobra King. The turret, 75mm gun, engine deck doors, travel lock and spotlight were installed. Needless to say, we were all very excited to see her back in one piece, more or less. She is not finished and she is not perfect, but she is a sight better than when she arrived in July of 2009.
