Bovington
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

I promised to post Sherman's engine pictures. Here is the multibank:
massimocorner.com/afv/...tibank.zip

The images are large, the .zip file is 220 Mb

Charioteer. Love this one, I just wish there was more space around it to take better pictures:

Tortoise. Too many vehicles around for a clean portrait. Hope we will see some good picture after Tankfest:

Contentious. Very cool british prototype. There aren't many pictures of it around. I think it was stored in the reserve collection for quite a while (but I may be wrong):

Contentious is fitted with a 105 mm gun for display purposes. Originally and during the whole trials, it had a 20 pdr instead

That's right - it wasn't on display when I visited in October 2008.

Let me know if you would like to get a few shots of it.

I would - at some point I'd like a load of your Bovington shots, but there's no rush as I've a big backlog (and I haven't forgotten I've still got lots more of your Full ones to do!).

Actually, this might be a good time to mention something: I've written a program to rename photos in the scheme you and I use - would you be prepared to try it out? If you could supply photos already named that would be one less step that I would need to go through.

My backlog is getting bigger too. I still have to work on pictures I've took last summer Sad
A good selection of my Bovington images is available on Flickr, including original size copies. You can grab it from there anytime:

This tank is in a dark corner, without space around. I had to use an external flash and my widest lens. Not happy about the results, but there aren't that many M46s around:

M103A. It's in running order. I was told there is another M103 in reserve, but I haven't seen any picture of it:
