This is a German 10,5cm l.F.H. 1916 that was re-built in the Inter-War period with new wheels. The breech-ring is also removable from the barrel in this redesign. The connection point between the barrel and recoil cradle is modified.

Ralph, maybe I could get some help on another id dilemma. This piece is in Bucharest. It's a WW I german gun. I've got some conflicting suggestions on Flickr:

Thanks again

Maybe the Belgian version - acquired after WWI and modified between the wars.

Massimo,
in my opinion displayed weapon has long barrel. Therefore I assume that is 7.7 cm Feldkanone model 1916. To my misfortune I can not differentiate between products companies Krupp or Rheinmetall.

77-mm cannon L/35 and 105-mm howitzer L/22 used the same chassis.

Massimo

This is a much larger gun than the 7,7cm lFK 1916. It is a 10cm Kanone 1914.

My two German Artillery indentifiaction pages may help you in the future (one for Field artillery and the other for foot artillery):

www.lovettartillery.co...wings.html

www.lovettartillery.co...wings.html

This is my 7,7cm lFK 1916:

www.lovettartillery.co..._1916_.htm

Although with a somewhat longer barrel than the 10cm Kanone 1914, this is my example of the 10cm Kanone 1917 (notice it is much much larger than a 7,7cm) :

I Ralph, I really appreciate your help!

It would be nice, one day, to visit you and make a good photo coverage of your collection.

That Museum in Bucharest is amazing, especially on early 20th century artillery. I am still not sure if I managed to properly identify everything over there. If you have sometime to spare, I would love if you could double check my work:

I would be more than glad to send you a DVD with hi-res pictures of that collection. Just drop me a PM if you would like one.

Thanks again.

Massimo,

You are very welcome.

Just doing a quick check I do not see any that I would identify differently. Bucharest certainly has a fantastic collection. The German 12cm on the non-recoil carriage is one that I did not know they had. I have never seen an example of this piece in person.

Let me know when you are able to visit Georgia, USA and I will make sure that my collection is open to you.

Thanks for checking. I plan to visit Bucharest again in the future, I took plenty of pictures of their AFVs, but the artillery collection is really huge and deserves more.

I don't visit the USA very often, but you never know.

We have seen various incarnations of Skoda 100 mm guns popping up in multiple place. Here is another one:

The Museum flag this as "NATO gun"... In fact it's an italian 149/19 mod 1937. It was pretty good and rem ained in service for quite a long time after WW II:

It's the same model seen at Forte Bramafam:

I think the id of the two guns below was confirmed some time ago, but I am not 100% sure:
