Pictures from El Alamein Museum
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Yes - it came from the Alamein line fortifications. There may have been a couple with Mk VI turrets as well - the images are a bit unclear.

Can you please post the images you mentioned here, Jim? I'd love to see those carrier conversions, that is if you're referring to Mk VI turrets mounted on Universal Carriers.
