No Pyramid....errr.....Fled Hill, at those coord's for me either. Just installed the latest version also, and yep I do see a general improvement in FPS, still single-digits (8 and 9's) flying past all the revetments, but it's real understandable and really not a problem for me.

Thanks, Stoop....from what I'm seeing and what I know (from past experience on other sceneries), I firmly believe the floating C130 and guy-on-terminal...as well as the "pyramid" are anomalies of individual FS9 installations on specific computers and not a result of the scenery, per se, except perhaps as other aspects of individual setups may interact with this particular addon.

In other words "it's not my fault". Laughing

If two or more of these anomalies are demonstrated on independent systems (with different setups) then I have to consider othewise.

I can reduce the probability by taking the guy off the terminal, though. And I could replace that beautiful C130 with a lower-fidelity one (though I'd hate to...of course, I can keep my own setup anyway I want).

What's the recommendation and who else can chime in with test results?

Fr8ycat...any pyramid or floating stuff other than the group by the hangar?

Good points. I say, we next get online and do some MP testing with it to see which direction to go. Data is always good.

Yep...and option 3: Complex field with NO Camp and NO Radio Research Station for MP package when mission time comes. Might help.

As far as frame rates, I say let's try it in MP and see what the results are. I got offline frames of 7.8 at the worst and it wasn't for very long, so it may be 'livable' that way. If more players in the game cause it to stop or drop to low to make it playable, that's a different story... Wink

The people in the group pic is great IMO and I knew what the problem was. I vote to leave it in there...:)

For the pyramid. I didn't see anything either. Fled must be special...lol

I too didn't see the pyramid, but the floaters are still there for me. I believe I can live with them, as they are minor. The only one I may have a problem with might be the runway, if I fly a fixed wing plane, and turn on one of the taxiways, the plane might bounce. I haven't tried it yet. I looked at the runway and taxiways with AFCAD, and they can't be modified, as the two programs, AFCAD and FSSC aren't compateble. The runway and taxiways would have to be redone for it to work, and they would be preset at the actual ground levels that exist. I won't mess with it. I don't want to spoil a good thing. I did notice that my frame rates when I have the whole base in sight is around 4 or 5, but I also have a need for an updated power supply, and that may correct that problem. My card doesn't get enough juice to work efficiently.

Laughing

Well fella's I've found out as to how to "turn off" my pyramid Razz

just turn down the settings and it's gone, secondary to that if I turn it down to much my TREES are gone as well Laughing

SO........ I'll keep it at max settings, like my lil private pyramid, and is also a nice beacon ( maybe ...........I should put a flashing light on it Laughing )

as for the AFCAD thingy, it would be nice to have that straightened out,
so when people want to join in on a multiplayer session they can select a independent parking spot,
but that could be on the wishlist for sometime in the future.

What I think is really necessary, is to get online with the gang and do some serious online multiplayer testing.

me two pence for the archive

This could be some kind of Da Vinci Code thingy that only Fled has cracked. Wink

Yep, let's try the thing in MP and go from there. "Downsized" version for MP would be easy to do if it's a problem.

Wingnuts' issues are ugle, especially the runway. I'm sure I could make a non-mesh version that wouldn't do that, but I really don't want to monkey with the primary release version because it seems to be working for everyone else with and without mesh, which was my objective.

I'm really disappointed in the stock terrain for this area, as for most areas in the sim.

Anytime. We've lost one tester to a family illness I understand, so it's up to Stoop, me, Bushy, you, and Wingy...unless we catch another one.

I'm on Pacific time, so from 1500-1830 PDT is best for me (good for your east coasters, but maybe not Dutch guys. Also from 2000-2200, but that's late for most.

I'm at GMT+2 at the moment due to summertime

You are at GMT-8 so that's 10 hours of difference, if I did my mats right Laughing

So midnight at my end would be 24:00 - 10:00 = 14:00~2:00 pm your time

I'll be on the ComC fs9 server and on TS as from approx. 23:30 my time

just what should I fly ? Laughing

erm ................. lemme see

Skyraider
Hughes
C-130
.
.
.

I'm shure I'll come up with something by that time Laughing

I'll post when I get home and maybe we can hook up for a little while. I've got all those aircraft types, I believe...I might just fly the stock Bell 206 (I've got an Olive Drab Army paint on mine....). Might switch to a skyraider to check out fixed wing.

So, if I followed this right, this would be about fourteen hundred hours Ascout's time, or twenty-four hundred hours Fled's time, which would be about six or seven hundred hours EDT time, so if I wanted to join in, I should wait about 300 hours, or what?
