Ft. Snelling Military Museum - Pics #4
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

There may be some vehicles in this fourth batch which have special memories for some of you.

The U. S. Air Force Reserve ramp is in the background (north side of MSP International Airport) where you may see a number of C-130s. This is where Air Force One parks when the Prez is in town to inspect bridges...

The next several are for Roy Lingle. Scouts out!

The following shots are for Jeff Button. These vehicles, apparently, have some sort of weird weapons system capable of delivering ordnance at unusual angles..... Cool

Wunnerful,

thanks again, Bob- just a minor ID error, the OD vehicle (B-17) under the M84 header is actually an M75 APC. Cool

Hi Folks!

Nice looking set of "Lingles". Missing the rear mud flaps, but over wise the outsides look like all the parts are there.

Sense the musuem has messed up most, if not all, of the data plates, I wouldn't go into the weapons they claim a M114 carried.

Thanks Bob (A109)!
Sgt, Scouts Out!

They omitted to mention the 106mm RR!

...I think the less said about the great Ford-General Dynamics "Shoot-Off" the better...

Thanks, Jens; I wasn't sure about that one. It looked significantly different from the M84 but had no data plate. Perhaps, considering their batting average, it's a blessing the museum didn't make one. Wink
