M109 Howitzer Trainer
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

M-198's?


They are old M102 105mm pieces. The guy I was talking to said they are converting froms M109's to M198 Towed and they are using the M102's for training.

Oh.."Der finger saver", the M109 trainer, something the USMC missed out on when they had M109s..when you hit the breech cam on the 109 and the 60 some leaf springs started to close that breech block you had better have evey little thing out of the way.
