Hey you were a volunteer - Some folks did that (well through the rice paddies instead of the desert) as draftees. Some of us on the otherhand were smart enough to join a service that insisted on concrete runways, air conditioned shops, etc

(Okay, basically serving as a tanker in the military, this is pretty much 'run of the mill' as one tends to do a lot of time in crappy weather...) Cool

(well, I did retire in 2006, which was my 5th year doing volunteer work. Due to many unforeseen variables, I haven't been able to participate as actively as before, but that is by no means an indicator of lack of interest or dedication. )

You were a pretty good tour guide and host, too. Consider yourself absolved, My Son.
