I don't know who might be able to go to this but I plan on taking the family. And of course, I be taking plenty of pictures as usual.
The Texas Military Forces Museum (TMFM) is going to present a reinactment / demonstration, entitled; "Close Assault-1944". It will be held on 24-25 May at Camp Mabry, Austin TX.
Here are some points of interest;
-Admission: FREE
-Parking: FREE
-Showtimes: Sat 11am and 2pm, Sunday is 11am only
-Done rain or shine
-M4 Sherman and M3 Halftrack will be in action
-Blank weapons firing demonstrations of WWII most famous weapons
-Watch a recreation of an attack on a German strong-point
-Concessions and souvenirs will be available
-Learn about the uniforms and equipment of the American G.I.
You can enter via 35th Street. Photo ID will be required for admission to the post.
