Tank Track
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

I asked a question about the track on the M47 tank. Someone responded with the type of track and all of the other vehicles that used it. Can anyone help me find that thread? I can't find it Twisted Evil

Mark,

Common M47 track was T84 series, which was narrower than the T97 and T142 of the M48/60 series.

The M53/55 SP Howitzer/Gun used the same track along with just about all the experimental Heavy T29/30 series tanks IIRC. There was an earlier version of track the M47 used that was steel with rubber backing, but not sure of it's designation.

Thanks, Joe but I made a big mistake. I meant M41 track. It was used on several vehicles. Sorry. Confused
