Bovington
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

At the time of my visit the Tamiya Hall was closed, since they were finishing a new display dedicated to Afghanistan that will open in April 2011. I managed to do a quick tour and take some snapshots anyway. From my brief visit I can confirm light conditions are problematic.

Here is the TOG. Together with the Rhino it's the only vehicle in Tamiya Hall not able to run:

Coventry Armoured Car

I realized P-O's PDF has a picture of it while it was in Tamiy Hall. This looks a bit better:

I am having some busy days, so no new pictures. I'll try to compensate with some info from the Museum.

I was told they have two M103s, the one inside the Tamiya's hall is pretty well know and has been running pretty often. I never heard of a second tank, and I wasn't able to see it in the reserve collection. But the warden who told me so, was a competent guy.

Some news on the Panther. Currently is waiting for some pieces to be restored/replaced. Soon it will be again in running condition.

As I said, the Tamiya Hall was closed, so I missed the AML-90. Is it true it was captured in the Falklands?
