The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

As nothing says Merry Christmas quite like a Sherman with a light dusting of snow, we’ve added a gallery of the M4A3(75) on display at VFW Post 1767 in Winooski, VT. Snow covers a lot of sins on display vehicles, and give them a thematic context that just looks right sometimes. I have one of Lesley's tank destroyer hard target shots in heavy snow as a desk top...it evokes the Battle of the Bulge very strongly.

The way that thing is parked at the top of a quarter mile steep slope leading down to a river bridge that is more than a few years old, and that it isn't blocked in place or otherwise restrained, I'd not want to be the one responsible should it roll off for a little excursion on its own.
