Neil-M1 at Sierra Army Depot
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

That's a M1 IP. There are very few original M1s around. I do know of one in Jefferson City, Mo.. kcamps.org/gallery2/ma...emId=13886

Neil, Your guide has the Sierra tank listed as an M1A1. That's because that's what was there. I remember when I worked there that they were planning on removing the M1A1 because it was not authorized for display. They had pulled it out of their storage stock and put it at the main gate. I remember that for some reason they had one M1 stored there and my guess is this tank is it.
