Ropkey Armor Museum Gallery
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Hi All,

We’ve added a gallery of photos of the collection of vehicles held at the Ropkey Armor Museum in Crawfordsville, IN. The photos date from December 2008 and reflect the collection as it was prior to the sale of the M4A3 to the Collings Foundation and the bits sold off recently after the passing of Mr Ropkey.

The museum is still open, but I've seen a few of the vehicles from the collection up for sale on www.armyjeeps.net/armor1.htm.

The M7 Priest is currently listed for $400,000. The M41 was listed previously, I believe.

They may be selling pieces to keep the rest of the place up and running.

Just speculating.

I was at the Collings Foundation Open House recently. Have any pictures of the M4A3 they sold?

Collins bought this M4A3 from Ropkey a while back. It's the tank that was used in the James Garner film "Tank."

Yes that is the exact one. They have not touched it.
