M60
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

I believe the tradition of maintaining a list of surviving AFV's may have been taken up by Pierre Olivier & Michael van der Loon. The late Massimo Foti had been involved I believe, but there's a basis for a search there.

Neil Baumgardner may have a hint as well.

Those not on display or in museums are located in target ranges like the Yuma lots BB-61 posted. Almost every major range or installation will have them in target lots or down range. Anniston doesn't keep very many, that is, not the Military History side (they don't have many either there), but the fleet management side. The ones they have are either from units who no longer want them or recovered from defunct civilian locations close by. Last count from satellite images they only have about 10 in the M1 lot. Mostly straight M60's and an A2 of all things. Think the A2 came from Redstone Arsenal.
