Tis good news! If we can get at least 6-8 we could have some good matches! I wonder if its possible to use the Mudpond physics with the NGNG plane set. Just replace the air files, correct?

Might be able to do that, Moser, and I know you like the new flight model physics, but once you wander into that territory of mixing and matcing and downloading and online flight file verification, you're deep into the area of "Aircraft Mismatch" problems with people who have one thing versus another......and that way, madness lies......

Personally I'd steer clear of it at least at first. The whole thing about NGNG competition was FUN....and the thrill of the hunt in 100% realism with no TAC no labels no nothing....only green and yellow teams to slightly improve the visibility aspect but more than anything to allow pilots of same planes on different teams to ID which side each other is on before pulling the trigger.

I'll submit that in the 100% realm for which NGNG was made, the hunt becomes the game far more than the turnfight, and most engagements are over in a brief maytter of seconds much like real air combat....turning maneuverability and ACM techniques become much less important as a result, so the flight model becomes very much secondary in importance.

Besides, the K.I.S.S. principle keeps it fun and accessible for the majority, with a minimum of fuss.

We ought to set a date and make it happen - howsabout sometime late September (after the big inaugural Com-C Military Flight Shindig with Ascout's Vietnam scenery).....eh?

C'mon now....don't tell me no one's interested in the thrill of the hunt!



And if JG300 gets a good turnout, we promise we'll go easier on y'all than we did these guys...
