WTH??? The plane goes nose first into the sea... and then appears on the other side just fine???

I think it's largely illusion. The big white misty wave is mostly mist from the wide part of the bow smacking the sea when the ship pitched....the plane flies through it. Not that it isn't a lot of mist, but it's not the "wall of water" that it might seem.
