I have always had concerns as to how I would ever be able to get back all of the data stored in Firefox or Thunderbird in the event I need to re-install XP or if I had a total system/hard drive crash.

I found this free utility which will backup or restore the whole profile. It saves a pcv file in my documents which can be opened with zip or winrar for manual installation or just use MozBackup to restore it totally

Best of all....its free. Can be downloaded from:
