Weirton WV T95
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Touched the old T95 thread to make it bubble to the surface with our new thread about T95 pictures found at Ft Knox

Yep, David R. Haugh and Michael Duplessis, “An Idea Too Early for Its Time: The US Army T95 Medium/Heavy Tank Series,” Journal of Military Ordnance, November 1999, identifies a T95E8 (Chassis No. 2, RN 9B1050) on a range at Camp Grayling.

FWIW, Griffin's Chieftain also shows a picture of a T95 wreck at an unspecified location.

Stopped by Weirton and saw the T95.

The GPS coordinates for the park are:
N40 23.25
W80 35.38

We GoogleMapped the intersection of Main St and Freedom Way to get there.

Enjoy!

Vagabond,
Many thanks for the pics!

Although as near as I can tell the coordinates should be closer to N40 23.418 W80 35.642? N40 23.25 W80 35.38 appears to put it across the highway, off McKims Ridge Rd?

Yes Neil, you are correct.

The park is located at N40 23.418 W80 35.642.

The coordinates I had were from our:
Three-years-old-but-still-functioning-provided-your-destination-wasn't-built-in-the-last-two-years-and-NO-you-CAN'T-upgrade-the-maps GPS rig.

It's hilarious to me that to get to the park we used:
Google Maps satellite photos to find the park and get an intersection.
GPS in the car
Google Map on my iPhone for real-time navigation

At least we didn't have to resort to the most precise navigation technology - the old guy at the gas station!!

Cheers!

Actually in 'tank hunting' I have found the local Post Office and volunteer fire department to be pretty reliable sources of information in the past

Yeah, BTW, I'm going back and rechecking the register using bing.com's birdseye views. That and some areas that now have GoogleMaps Streetviews have confirmed a few vehicles.

Hopefully should have the new version done in a few weeks, or couple of months on the outside.

Camp Beauregard is one of my big outstandings...

Are there any good workarounds on T95E2 except this one www.modelbouwleuven.com/t95.html ?
The vehicle at the Brooke-Hancock County Veterans Memorial Park is open for visitors, but there are no good photos for so much years.
I am specially interested in air filters design.

I suggest checking with Joe Daneri. Here or on Facebook, which as of this morning I have no login capability so may be locked out indefinitely.
