Post subject: World Gaming Center

The World Gaming Center is hosting CFS1 online, as of today.

You cannot find it anywhere on their main page yet.

To gain access you will need to a) register, and b) go HERE and download the cd client you find there.

This will install an access facility to your p.c.
When you fire it up, via the deskyop icon, it will show you a list of cd based games that are available on WGC.
Simply select the game you want (CFS1) and come on in.
It's a similar format to the old zone CFS1 rooms, but different.

Word of warning; WGC tools are stronger than Zone tools. You're given access at their end rather than your own p.c. so it should be much easier to keep the little 'gits' away.

Welcome back to CFS1 all you old die-hard fun-seekers!

I just joined the gaming center and so far all I've seen in there is FS2004.

Am I missing something?

EXOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Yussir, you won't see it on the main page.

If you d/l and install the "cdclient" (you can find HERE), this will open a special portal on your desktop (like hyperlobby).
Enter your pre-registered username and password, then select the game you want from the drop down on the right (Clue:- "CFS", heheh), and you're in.
It's very similar to the Zone without the ZoneFriends add-in.
EURO Files are still available from Chief Viking's site (with the appropriate pass)
www.EURO-Downloads.com.

You only have a few more days of 'Shades-Free' practice before my new system should be up and running properly and I can get my own back for all the K.P. duties you had the C.O. put me down for.
Wink

Looking forward to havin' some good ole fun-like-what-we-used-ta-have in there.

Cool

Ok thanks Shades

I did some testing and CFS won't open when I launch, but CFS2 opens just fine. Both of my games are using the no-cd fix. Maybe my firewall is stopping CFS....will have to do some more testing. Looks promising though Smile

CFS won't open when I launch
NOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Heheh

If you're using it, it might be a Vista problem; I'm already answering posts about CFS1 not working in Vista on other flight sim forums.
Haven't tried on mine yet but will advise.
