Started with the CFS1, but didnt know about multiplayer until CFS3. Joined the 92, and had some good times. Then we switched to IL2+AEP+PF. We played for a while, then we sorta fell apart. only talked with Moser, Warhawk and Steel recently. Our CO is MIA Rolling Eyes

I don't go back that far. Just got started with CFS3 and moved into FS9 for the realism. Had lot's of fun with the FOE in 3, great bunch of guys there. I still use Phyxius' or Max_devil's tweaks to improve the scenery and mesh.

Teamspeak.. what is that? brought a whole new facet to my game.

I have always been into aviation, built models as a kid also. Joined the Civil Air Patrol at the age of 12, retired from that at the ripe old age of 16 as a Cadet Lt.Col. Never got the Spaatz award to make bird.

Living a mile from Langley AFB in Virginia, I get to look up and see Raptors, 15s and 16s and dream of what might have been....
oh well

Former Combat Flight simlulator 1 and 2 player, but I really got my start with FS98 . I believe Combat showed me this site when he was in my former team SoS . Now I check the site daily. I would love to get into the Sunday night flights, but I am without a stick and I'd probably end causing a mid air collision lol. I would like to check out MS flight sim X, but I dont think I have the hardware for it. My favorite thing to do in the sims was to try and do belly lands with a 747. Now this was on a laptop touchpad, so needless to say it didn't always go as planned.

Growing near an airpost I always loved planes from the start… plus my “favorite uncle was a WWII 'hero' (B17 Pilot in 100th BG, 350 BS, 35 missions as PIC) and eastern AL captain...

found a slice of heaven with CFS1 getting "zoned" and "CFO-ing" and the Bomb runs... flying with them FSM guys (Superglue, Supertoffee), M3 guys, Mantis, Shadow clan, 401RCAF, viper, all the 'mad dogs',)...

Met up with the HF's; MayBug, Bow, BB, Flyswatter, Rainmaker, 5 , Ginger, Hollywood, highlander, Link, KingRalph, Tanglefoot, Random, Palmer, Top, Eagle (Bomber Group), Flak, PZ, Codfather, Blitz, IFLYRC, Streaker, Terry, Zoo, Blade and so many others ... finding a great bunch of guys... Many I have met since joining (Your Next Bush, you are too close!)

We had a North African campaign with 29 missions in “one season in CFS1’s last days and we had such a blast... UHU NJG7 North Africa Scenery (Mopar Mike whoever you are, thanks)

HF_5 instructing us in waypoints, Assembly Point, IP, CAP and timing... situational awareness, fuel and ammo management (SOB - short burst on target) man he would get on us for wasting ammo... LOL

ALL the training…. Flying TIGHT formation with Eagle back in the days of flying on DIAL UP (remember that?)…

FURBALLS - been in one lately?

ASA (Allied Status Agreement) remember that? Mods and cheating on theZone

Getting to know and rub elbows with the pilots in real life that are “HF
HF_Bruno (Airbus A310 Charter Captain),
HF_Froggy (Mirage Fighter Pilot / French AF AND who wrote one of the best air combat training guides I've ever read – I really must share...),
HF_ArcAngel (retired ATP for Agony.. er ahhh Alleghany AL),
HF_Sidewinder (Chopper pilot in Irag),
HF_EastAnglie (Bush pilot in NewZealand and Aerobatic Pilot, close friends with Jack Stafford of WWII RAF fame),
HF_CSM (TOP) PP and Acrobatic Pilot,
HF_Eagle PP,
and I know I am forgetting some…

CFS3 (grrrr) so disappointed everyone in the squad could run it...
IL2
IL2 FB
IL2 AEP
IL2 PF (CC Friday night fights/flights!)
FS9
FSX
Thanks for asking and bringing back all those pleasant memories…

Oh Man.

Well, Old Red here grew up at the convergence zone of a SAC airfield and a local "international" (cause there was flights to Montreal) airport. I heard them blasted '52s go overhead at about 300 all the time. Plus, my grandfather was close friends with all of the pilots/crew at the airbase, because he did boiler work and what not at the base, so I was always around them Rat SOBs all my childhood life. Got to "taxi" some old warbirds on the laps of co-pilots, etc etc. Aviation was always a dream of mine, but MVP and bad eyes kept me out of flight. So I was regulated as a kid to the rides in planes, amusement parks, etc. I was always playing makebelieve as a kid with the Red Baron. ha. Yeah. I admit that. Wink

Met Luft (which is another odd story in itself) and he was into CFS1 and 2, got me into it, taught me how to fly, and the rest was history. Flew with JG27 for a bit, until certain persons unnamed took command and really screwed things up, then formed JG2, then Jasta 11 as the WWI stuff took off in CFS2. Did IL2 and flew with II/JG2 for a bit, then formed II/ZG76 to fly under them, but the commander was such a dingus that Luft and I left.

Flew for a bit with JKG32 for CFS3, but they aren't really organized. So, now I'm looking for a squad to fly with in CFS3 that's dedicated, historically accurate and Luftwaffe. Three things together that are hard to find. So I just play offline for now, go online once in a while to beat on Spitpests, if I have FS in the comp, I fly that, but the VFR stinks in that with the stock terrain.

Nearly 5 years flying now, scary thinkin. And I still am a Rook. Ha hahaha.

Twisted Evil Yeah but I can't see for sh** in the dark. Mr. Green

But Zerstorers... mmmmm.

Luft's lookin for someone to fly with too. He's not a bad dude to fly with, he's really into training and does good wingman support.

I gotta get him in here - he put in the registration a while back but never got around to finishing it up.

Hey Fled, who was Mopar Mike? I think he was one that sent the HF's the wonderful CFS1 North Africa scenery (which I still have LOL)... maybe some screenshots someday to reflect?
