Thought you'd like this - it's not a GT, but it *is* a fairly clean '68 Ford Galaxie 500 XL that belongs to a friend of mine at work. Has 390-4bbl power and a 4-speed, although it was originally an auto trans car that he converted to manual. Other days he drives a '69 2-door LTD or a '70 (I think) Impala.

We share a tandem parking space, so when I drive the 'Stang to work and he's not using a handicapped spot for a recent foot injury, it makes for the coolest 8 x 30 patch of pavement on the whole parking lot, and by far the largest amount of collective cylinders, HP and torque in one area for blocks around.

Good lookin' machine and I dig the color!

S-code 390's are cool and that's a great roofline on that Galaxie. I've also an eye on a CJ R-code (ram air!) '68 Torino. Of the 661 fastback R codes, ALL were automatics except for one 4-sp car built for Ford exec Bunkie Knudson. Bench seat, no air, no PS, just power front discs.
