Seriously, that is an eye-opening display, I thought I was pretty familiar with the Jug but I'll never look at that plane the same way again now....a true model of design efficiency.

It takes me all the way back to the cast metal P-47 toy I had as a little kid - I remember studying it in detail and wondering what the bumps and vents in the back were for. Still to this day I never thought there was that much ductwork in there.

It would be cool to see the same thing for the P-38 turbo-supercharger system. I know in the book I have, it describes the ducting as being routed through the leading edge of the wings in the earlier models. No wonder the maintenance crews hated working on them.
