Post subject: Aero Commander Test Flight

Downloaded the pack (impressive collection) and fired up one of them to take a short flight to get the hang of it.

Departed Wagga Wagga, NSW, Australia (YSWG) and flew towards the coast via Canberra (YSCB) to Jervis Bay (YJBY) and Nowra (YSNW) then turned north, up the coast via Wollongong (YWOL) to Sydney (YSSY).

Here are some screenies from along the way. A fun plane to fly.

Departing Wagga

Heading East towards the coast.

Overflying Canberra on the way.

Passing over the eastern side of the Great Dividing Range.

The coast, and Jervis Bay, coming up.

Heading north over Wollongong.

I've got a Dash-8 chasing me!

Over Sydney International and towards the city.

An orbit around the city.

On final for 34L

Touchdown. A little off centre, but nothing broken.

Now, where is the nearest place to get a beer!

Gajinoz, please notice we have a running screenshot competition here, and everybody is free to submit his own creations, so why not you too?

Excellent shots!

WOW!!!!!!

I must agree, what an absolutely GORGEOUS set of screenshots!!!! And what a beautiful flight.....can't thank you enough for posting this, and please keep 'em coming!

Very cool to see you enjoying the "Tasair" scheme also, that was included specifically for some flying down under!! Nice!

Indeed, some of them (#3 particularly in my opinion) would pretty much give you a solid ranking in the screenie contest we have here (plus, you can submit them in bigger modes than just 800x600) - we'd love to see them!

My highest compliments, gajinoz!!

I agree on #3, but I also would point your attention at #6: it doesn't seem to be taken out of a simulator, and the impression of depth is amazing.
Cool

Thanks for your kind comments guys. I may have a go at your competition some time. Smile

I plan on a few more flights in the Commander so you may see a few more screenies here in the near future.

WOW indeed! Was this taken out of FS9? What amazing scenary addons! You should definately enter any one of those into the cometition. Would score some high marks from me.

Yes, definitely FS9. The scenery is a combination of FS Global Mesh and the outstanding FREEWARE scenery collection covering all of Australia from Vista Australis. You can download it from HERE

Current versions are 1.1 1.2 1.21 1.3 and soon to come 1.4

Sorry if I'm spamming or anything, feel free to delete this if it contravenes any forum rules or suchlike.

ROFL gajinoz...

The reason I'm laughing is...

Back when Com Central was a very young site, I use to spend half the day on Saturday morning 'informing' (spamming) the other boards about what CC was up to...lol

AND...no, we don't mind helping other sites at all and if it helps CC members, we're all in favor of that... Wink

Spamming , Spamming ?? did anyone say that around here ??

fyi gaj,

We are on our world tour and felt compelled to download all the VOZ packs we could lay our hands on Laughing we just finished our OZ tour and are now up north and heading west.

Have a peak here => www.com-central.net/in...pic&t=5718

I can tell ya that as soon version 1.4 appears on the horizon and gets available for download, you'll have a smoking cable on your end due to the traffic picking 'm up Wink
