Best way is to have separate installs, then you can drag and drop whichever one u need into an 'active' folder as you need it to open the game.

I don't do IL2 though so definitely have a word with the guys on the IL2 forum.

There is an IL2 Switcher available which some in our squad have tried out and say it works great.

I have that IL-2 Switcher and I can confirm that works very well when switching among patches 4.04m to 4.071m.
