I'm not much of an artillery expert, but I have seen this forum and want to see if anyone is aware of Ft. Miles, DE.
During World War 2 it was Lewes, DE coastal artillery station. There are a number of observation towers in the area (one you are permitted to climb) and the Fort is being restored. There are various artillery pieces located there, along with many bunkers. It's located within Cape Henlopen State Park, Lewes, DE USA. At a later time I'll post some photos of the artillery there (It's not just the large guns) and bunker batteries. Rick

I would be interesting to seeing any photos you would like to post along with info on Ft. Miles. I don't know much about coastal defense and would love to learn something new.
