Reno Air Races!!!!!

Reno Air Races start this week!!!!!!

WoooHooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Qualifying was going on yesterday and today, and my favoritest racing aeroplane in the Unlimited class is race #77 - Rare Bear, the highly modified Grumman Bearcat. It currently has the pole position at a respectable 480.644 MPH qualifying lap. Keep in mind her best rated flat-out speed on a straight 3Km course is 528 MPH. Many years ago, too. Historically, she has usually struggled against Strega, the P-51 flown by Tiger Destafani, but that appears to be up in the air this year as I believe that plane has changed owners.

Well it seems that Strega did indeed take the Gold, but that was on Sunday, a couple of days before your bet was placed. Glad to see Rare Bear keep the pressure on at least. Next year!! _________________ "Once your reputation is ruined, you can live quite freely."
