Cool

Hi Sly !!

Well it ain't the cheapest add-on but imho worth every darned penny.

It comes with 3 different models and a bunch of paintjobs, also there is now a new model available the 130-J with sixbladed props and glass cockpit.

Also you can set all kinds of loads, open doors ramps etc etc.

There is so much stuff in there to play around with that ou'll be busy for a while getting it all sorted out.

I have it, it cost just about Euros 44.00 in a high street store. I have not got the hang of flying it well and if you stall it has the rather unpleasant habit of it turning turtle, which e.g. is pretty much catastrophic if you are flying slow and low as you would need to be to get in to a difficult airstrip, I have the feeling that it really needs very high frame rates to fly well because I flew the stripped down [ free ] demo of the same sim and it was like a kitten whilst the full price item is not really pleasant to fly!

I think Captain Sim has some "issues" about makeing best use of computer power [ in their more recent software ] because I have their 727 and it flew well [ with my old graphics card and smaller memory ] and with good frame rates and to fly their 707 I had to upgrade my machine ie up the memory from 500 MB to 1.5 MB and it really only flew well after I upgraded the Graphics card from a 5500 128MB to 6800GS 500MB

Best and Warm Regards

Another view!

I think that this is a great plane - Adrian is right that it takes practice to fly, but it's supposed to have been tested by C-130 pilots. The Boxed version from the shop (JustFlight) includes some scenery for RAF Lyneham, which is good too...

Plenty of paint jobs keeps you amused for a long time - I'm waiting for the Spectre to appear though!

Yes I have boxed version but I did not install the RAF base sceenry because I have a number of UK airports installed allready and I could not remember if Lyneham was one of them, so I though I would play safe and leave it out. There is fantastic book that gives an account of the RAF's famine relief missions which would be great for recreating these flights, I actually have the book but I have a couple of thousand and I just can not remember the title and where I put it.

Best and Warm Regards
