Post subject: AFCAD Scenery for Usworth (EGNU)

Hi All, don't know if this is the right place to put this post but I was wondering if anyone has an AFCAD for Usworth, for FS2004?
I have tried with AFCAD2.21 and FSSC but can't seem to get anywhere, not very good at that sort of thing. Smile
I'd really appreciate a copy if you have please.
Thanks
Dave

Unfortunately, I don't have FS2004 and have no idea what an ASCAD is (If it's in front of me and I can shoot bits off of it, then I'm interested Wink ).
Hopefully one of our more experienced scenery designers will be able to help you later today.
If not, I'll post your request on our own forum tomorrow and see what I can turn up.
Top marks for knowing EURO are based @ R.A.F. Usworth though.

Yes, I read the forums, I grew up around Usworth,, Hylton Redhouse. I used to sit on "Bunny Hill" as a child and watch the planes, and joined the ATC there when I was old enough (2214 Usworth Sqn).
I want to try and make the old airfield for FS2004, AFCAD means Air Field definition, and basically it's the blue print of an airfield, the layout of the runways, taxiways, buildings etc. It doesn't have to be exact as long as it has the feel of Usworth about it. I have a of photo of runway 050 with the hangar visible and the "Three Horse Shoes" pub in the back ground. You can just make out the old ATC huts, it's not a very good picture tho. I alsoo have aOS map of Usworth but there isn't a lot of detail on it, you can make out the taxiways and the runway headings, but that's it.
Anyway, Thanks for your help Shades..

Hi Nelson and welcome to Com Central...

You might try this question in the FS2004 forum here. Wink

Hi Rigel, that would be fantastic, thanks. Very kind of you. I'd like anything in the 70's if possible, that's the period I'm planning on. Smile

Regards
Nelson

Beating Rigel to the punch, is this any good?
LINK TO FILE REMOVED - SEE NEXT POST
This is the file we use.
If it is of use, we'd be very interested to see what you can make of it when you have a go.
If it isn't, give me a shout and I'll try and find out who the designer was - actually, I think I already know; If it's who I think it is, he's been rumoured to keep a whippet in his left trouser leg when it's foggy, and be rather partial to a drop of Pink Floyd when it isn't.

Wink

[edit: I've found out who the designer is. It wasn't who I thought it was and I'm not sure I can still get ahold of him but I'll try this weekend for you.]

Well, don't say EURO don't spring into action when we hear of someone in need...
I just got off the phone to EURO_Apollo (a fellow 'Southern Jessie') who designed the file for us 2 years ago.
Haven't spoken to him for about that long either so it was good to hear his dulcit tones again.
3 months ago he lost all the data on his hard drive after replacing it.
BUT he thinks this is one of the design files he backed up and he's going to try and hoof it out this weekend and e-mail it to me.
If you can send me a PM with your e-mail address (don't post it or you may get spammed by bots who go around harvesting such things from forums, etc) I'll upload it to my site and send you a link as soon as we've sorted it out between ourselves.
Incidentally, he was delighted to hear that you asked about it.
