When I've painted a plane in IL2 (LA's are my favourite Smile ), I tend just to paint it and not bother with seperating the layers.

I either use the void and make templates out of it or I search the net and find someone who has already made templates.

My preferred weapon is Photoshop and I paint the plane using layers so I can slide and position them, I use masks to avoid painting other bits as well.

There is a full set of void skins for PF on their web site.

Using a program called Bright is supposed to enhance the plane after painting but to be honest a couple or three layers with dirt, highlights and scratches produces quite good results in my opinion.

But flying suits...now your talking...lol

I normally fly IL2 in a superman outfit with a big yellow K on the front, occasionally I may wear my batman outfit but it tends to chaffe a bit.

That is what I have done KIT, I used a void and just painted it, but I did not use layers or mask or bright also how would you add the dirt layer and scratches you talk about ,that sounds like it could be interesting to play around with and by the way thank you KIT for the tips ~S~
