Post subject: Plane Name Protocol

~S~ All,

Single Mission Builder requires the "in sim" aircraft name in order to see the .air file. Without that name you can't write a Single Mission for the aircraft in question.

This is not the name you see in the skins list or QMB pulldown lists. It is an "in sim" name that Ubi uses.

In particular I am looking for the Mosquito name protocol.

If anyone has a source for those names it would be a big help for the Mission Builder Noobies.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,
Ken

OK. Here's how it's done: make a mission in FMB using the aircraft listed name and save it. Open the mission file using Windows Explorer afterward and you will see the Ubi sim name for it.

Example: the Mosquito turned out to be MOSQUITO4 and the name is case sensitive.

The reason for the question is that I am writing training missions for bomber pilots. Just started so we'll see how (if) this works out.

Regards,
Ken
