another one from the Army Cars museum at Zwijndrecht

At first glance it looks like an US 105mm howitzer, except for the muzzle brake

The only thing I realy know that this gun has been used by an German speaken nation
So either Germany - Switserland - Austria, because all instruction plates are in German language

Who know's what it is??

I have found it, it is German

105mm Feldhaubitze (L) aka Fh M101A1 (L)

In 1956 the German army recieved 216 US M101A1 105mm light howitzer
At the end of 1959 the guns where part of an "Kampf Wertsteigerung" (combat efficiency) program in which the existing gun barrels where replaced with new ones

Apart from longer gun barrels (supply from Rheinmetall), other modifications included:
- new breech block
- modified visor system
- change of the left gun shield
- and a muzzle brake
- electric light system upgrade

After the upgrade the gun description recieved the letter (L) for "Leistungsgesteigert" (improved performance)

The last ones where redrawn from active service in 2000, some remain in service for ceremonial purpose
