I'm having a brain fart and for the life of me can't figure out what version of directX I'm running..it has nothing to do with the amount of beer I've had tonight..can someone here point me in the right direction? edit never mind, I found it.....it's amazing what you can find if you just type it into google

We're on the cusp of ver. 11 being released which, we're told, should fix the shortcomings of ver. 10 not being compatable with some hard/software.

IF .............. you are running Vista, it has some limited DX10 options IF .............. you are running XP SP3 DX9.0c is the thing to stick to there are some behind the scenes little war's going on about DX10 and /or DX10.1 the outcome of that is still covered in a thick fog that probably will evaporate when DX11 get's here
