Mozilla Firefox has stopped working for me...
This is a forum for Software related items such as OS', Virus notices, cool or free programs, etc. Gaming software should go in the gaming folder pertaining to the current info.

Post subject: Mozilla Firefox has stopped working for me...

I can get internet acess with IE8, but not Firefolx (which I've been using for quite some time. I'm on version 7.0.1, the current one). When I try to re-intall, it tells me to turn off Firefox, even though it's not running.

What's up, ya' think?

Does that happen even after a restart of the computer? I had the same problem a couple of times, but either killing the FF process in the task manager or restarting the computer solved that problem all the time. _________________ Gunter "The road to a friend's house is never long"

I had the same problem a couple of times, but either killing the FF process in the task manager or restarting the computer solved that problem all the time.

Yes, happens after a restart.

I also cannot "delete program" because it prompts me to turn off Firefox, though it is not even running (which is also confirmed in task manager).

I'm starting to think my install of Firefox has been attacked.

Jep, looks like it. To uninstall it might help to try the unlocker freeware (click), the links refers to a german page, maybe you find an english version.

Well, after multiple attempts with powering off/on, I was finally able to delete Firefox and then reinstall.
