I was going to strafe an airfield when I saw two planes on the runway taking off so I went after them instead. I would have made that same decision....then, strafe the airfield...lol

- Shadow_Bshwackr I would have made that same decision....then, strafe the airfield...lol I knew if I did not go after the enemy aircraft while they were still somewhat vulnerable the odds of my getting shot down by one of them was running right around 100%. Video was taken from the 352ndVFG Group Session of January 14, 2024. The Mission was flown on the Rheinland map.

Several of us were engaged with Bf-109’s and Fw-190s over and near the city of Bonninghardt in Grid 1421. As for my success during the mission let me sum it up by saying “Sometimes you are the windshield other times you are the bug…"

Engine Failure at 6,000 feet

I was on the 352ndVFG Great Battles Dogfight Server and I had an engine out failure while attacking a bogey. This engine out failure forced me to attempt a dead stick landing at a nearby friendly airfield that was under an artillery barrage.

00:00 Two Bandits (Fw-190A-8's) spotted at Eleven O'Clock High
04:55 Shoot down of the first Bandit
10:30 Shoot down of the second Bandit and engine failure
15:00 Landed safely ??

The Mission was flown on the Rheinland map.

After the full group session Friday, April 04, 2025, Bender, Mars, Sighter, & myself moved over to Benders dogfight server and flew a few races.
In the last race of the evening for the four of us Sighter had an epic crash right in front of me that I was able to capture in almost all of its glory.

I uploaded a full speed version with sound and a second one in Slo-Mo, quarter speed, with the sound muted.
