Thun army base. Schutzenpanzer 63/89
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Post subject: Thun army base. Schutzenpanzer 63/89

The Schutzenpanzer 63/89 is the lastest incarnation of the M113 as used by the swiss army. This day it's not in active service anymore, since it was replaced by the CV-90. I am posting it because I guess not that many people are familiar with this configuration.

The 20mm Hispano-Suiza guns, came from retired DH Vampire (a wingy thingy).

This specific vehicles is used as gate-guardian, if you visit the Panzermuseum you can't miss it.
