Littlefield collection video
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

A bit cringeworthy, videoed for a US tv programme, aimed at the retired.

He did a great job of being gracious and bubbly in the face of an insipid interviewer with no connection to the subject matter.

He did a great job of being gracious and bubbly ....

This is how Jacques was on the occassional interactions that I had with him during some of his visits to the Patton Museum. Surpirzingly 'approachable' and loved to 'talk tanks'.

It was always funny that during his visits, he would usually have an 'entourage' which was semi-formally dressed (suit & tie) in the Motor Pool and he was the guy walking around in jeans & a plaid shirt, not affraid to climb on or 'explore' a particular vehicle of interest.

Regards
Don

If only my 'entourage' would come into a museum with me...

Mr Littlefield was utterly unassuming. If you didn't know who he was you would never guess that he was the son of a billionaire. Last time I visited the museum he, me and the group sat at a nearby restaraunt drinking beer and telling stories. God those were good times.

I had the good fortune to visit Mr. Littlefields museum on a number of occasions. It was an unforgetable experience. He was an incredibly down to earth, and decent man.
