VERY nice!! Pike fishing is one my favorites and it's exciting to catch one that size!!

What pound test did you use and how long did it take to get it in the boat? Detail man, DETAILS....lol

Holy CRAP MAN. That thing is HUGE!!!!

Apparently I need to go out fishing more and catch big fish unlike those minnows.

Believe it or not, I put it back in the water, alive. I don't eat pike, except when my mother's friend smokes it.

I was using 10 pound test line (Fireline from Berkley, love it) and a 7 foot medium action rod, with a Shimano light casting reel. The lure was a medium ondulating spoon from Williams, frog color. It took about 8-10 minutes to get it in the net, wich was barely big enough to hold him. He swang at everything in the boat for a couple of minutes.. scarry.. Mr. Green

I was bit on one finger by another pike the day before, bled all over my pants... My little girl was crying... lol ..but I explained to her that it was not serious. Still, I had four cuts on the end of the finger, pretty deep ones.

Yep, gotta watch them teeth...lol

Shimano and Berkley....great combo IMO...:D (Actually, Shimano is my favorite reels and all but 2 that I have are Shimano's...:wink:)

I also like the Trilene floro's. Super tough and old guys like me can see the line...lol
