Post subject: Artillery piece ID help

Hello all -

I've seen a number of these artillery pieces displayed at VFWs & American Legions around South Carolina. What is this?

Thanks Gents!

Thanks Claude!

AJ2 - I've got more photos on the way of 90mm AA guns from our latest trips.

Saw a 90mm at both:
AL Post #15 - 28 S Artillery Dr (N33 55.035 W80 21.647) Sumter, SC
VFW Post #3034 - 1925 Gion St (N33 56.961 W80 22.671) Sumter, SC

I'll make sure to let you know when I post them!

I'll check and see if I have photos of Florence and Anderson.

Hi Folks!

Correct on the gun barrel size, I think the M number for those is M1.

Has anyone ever seen a 90mm M2? I know of 1 M2 at Lawrenceville, GA

a couple of M3's at China Lake, Fort Monroe and ane on Shemya

I think the M2's are very rare for some reason

M1's are fairly common

There is one M2 90mm (mins wheel units) out in front of the Ft Bliss Museum.
There was one complete and restored M2 that was shipped to Ft. Still.

The New Mexico National Guard has a history of Air Defense Artillery. I know of two M1 90mms in that state.
