11 more galleries added to SC AFVs
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Post subject: 11 more galleries added to SC AFVs

Hey Everyone!

In an effort to get as much posted as possible, we’ve added 11 more South Carolina AFV locations to the site. Doing so brings the total SC gallery count up to 16.
Who you calling obsessed?!

Individual Location Galleries:

BTW- Cheraw, SC is the birthplace of the great jazz and bebop trumpeter, John Birks “Dizzy” Gillespie. We passed a statue in the downtown area and stopped to take photos. It’s a metal sculpture so I’ve classified it as an AJV – an armored jazz vehicle. Vehicle as in self-expression – c’mon people work with me, work with me!

VB,
Thanks for the galleries.

However, sorry to had to visit the second location. I trust you followed the usual directions: "north till you smell it, west until you step in it." Wink

Does the M110A2 have all steel wheels or does it have rubber rims?

The closeup from the posted image shows that everything was spray painted, including the tracks.

I am building a model of the M110A2 and need to know if I have to paint those very small edges. Thank you.

PJ - as you can see from this close-up of a road wheel from the M110A2 in Yadkinville, NC, the road wheel DOES have a rubber on it.

Pull out the very fine paint brush!
