As this is now my second, I can officially call myself a Gibson Les Paul collector at last ( more gear than talent).
youtu.be/xzWXeZMWk3Y
Picked it up on Thursday, having ordered it last January.
Took me every weekend in 1990 and 1991 playing Les Pauls all over Southern England to find one that a) sounded great, played great, and c) looked great.
This time the first one I picked up was even better than the other one.
Has a Burstbucker 3 at the bridge, a P90(H) at the neck and individual Piezzos under the bridge saddles.
Robot and Chameleon technology.
Mahogany (chambered) body, a superb AA Flamed Maple top*, and an ebony fingerboard.
The grain in the top is so deep it moves around with the top, giving it a similar appearance to those 3-D picture cards you used to see as a kid where the picture changes as you move them around.

It's ya blues, I's 'sposed ta look miserable.
Hadda sit on my tail though, it's been twitchin' like crazy for days!
Is Kazoo, Kalamazoo?
I didn't know they were still making anything there; thought it had been shut down after a flood or something in the '80's.
Love to think it was, the name's much more interesting than 'Nashville'.

Yussir.
You can tell by the manky ring finger I knackered in a bike accident back in 2005.
They put it back together but it's 2° out of kilter and fights for position all the time with my 'pinky'.
I call it my 'Muslim' finger now, because it points to Mecca several times a day.
Of course, it also gives me a ready-made excuse for all the bum notes I play too.
Which is nice.
The axe is a Gibson Les Paul - 2010 Limited Edition (1 of 400), 'Robot'.
I hope to upload more about the robot side of it soon.

Feels even dafter than when I acquired the first one.
