Ropkey's Armor Museum
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Very impressive collection. I can see something in the status of the equipment, or in the way things are assembled for display... Something that almost tells there is somebody who really cares behind.

Thanks for sharing

Good collection, you've not closed the tag for picture 24. Any chance of captions to the photos too?

Thanks everyone, how about a test and everyone see how many they can name?? That would save me some research and it might be fun on a hot summer day. I sure we have folks in here that know most all the names off the top of their heads.....If that idea doesn't work, I'll do them when I get a little more time.....Thanks everyone..................

some are easy, some a little harder

Thanks Pzkpfw-e

Well, I've satisfied myself that the red Harley-Davidson is just a civilian WLA 45 like the large green one and not (as I'd hoped) a ULH 80 (flutes on the engine case and unless the toolbox is hiding it, no dry sump oil tank). Laughing

He sure does take care of his M-41(s). Good to see.

Nice work on the photos. They came out very clear!

I need to get back there someday soon and check out the FT-17, which last I saw it was in the workshop all torn about. I even have some pics of it back then ... somewhere. Smile

26 & 27: WLA H-D 45 c.i.

42: 45 c.i. flattie, civilian model WLA, probably pre-war, but possibly post. Doubt the chrome springer was stock.

43: Going out on a limb, but most likely an Indian one-lunger, based on the girder front end.
