First, we get a time machine....

Next, we go back to 1984 (when this video was made) to the set of "Streets of Fire". We give that pretty boy Michael Pare his walking papers and rewrite the script to have "Tom Cody" (now played by Robert Gordon) as the estranged former bandmate of "Ellen Aim and The Destroyers" that the luscious Deborah Van Valkenburgh (another reason we need a time machine) summons when "Raven" kidnaps her. Of course, we have to have flashbacks of his performing career before he hit the road.

Curiously, Gordon was in Willem Dafoe's first film, "The Loveless" (a loose re-make of "The Wild One") and is reported to have felt that he was the only one on set that understood the "greaser outlaw" mentality/scene. I'm down with that....

Hey any plan based on an SCTV skit certainly has MY full backing and support - long as we keep Rick Moranis out of the picture so he can't bring things down like he did to SCTV in the 80's! There, easy-peasy. It's good to be the executive producer!

Actually, I'd can Diane Lane too. There must have been somebody else who could have filled that role better...and she wasn't even hot. (I will give her the fact that she's actually gotten better looking with age, but this is 1984).
