Isle of Wight scrapyard
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Thats the FV 3802 based on a reversed Centurion running gear. Originally designed as a SP gun mounting the 25 Pdr. Only prototyped. That survivor ended its days as a mobile OP on the Shoeburyness ranges. I took a ride in it there many years ago

I spy a Stalwart, a Saracen APC, a Churchill's turret, I haven't a clue what the two (amphibians?) are on picture #12, Comet hull, (Maybe a Charioteer?) aswell as what b-r noted.

Hello,

I can see a Cromwell wreck on this photo :
http://jtrowbridge5.smugmug.com/IsleofWightTankMuseum/Scrapyard-wrecks/18483693_D6SxXG#1426313674_Qfm2mMh

and on this one too :

On this photo seem to be 2 Churchill wrecks (I can see 2 Churchill turrets) :

Edit : there is only 1 Churchill hull, but 2 Churchill turrets. I do think that the Churchill hull comes from Salisbury plain :

Most of stuff seen in these photos are defiantly NOT on show, these photos must have been taken a long time ago.We went last week there was only a young man, an older man and lady on the entrance, with most of the areas out of bounds[health and saftey] very disappointing, incidentaly this is the height of the summer season

Quite right Jim, Sloppy checking of the FV number on my part. Should have remembered that it is the version for the 5.5" and not the 25 Pdr. Either way its still the vehicle I rode in on the Shoeburyness ranges. It was acquired from Shoeburyness by an old friend and taken to Duxford where it languished for many a year. We always just called it "P2".
