Our plans and trips to military museums
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Been in Kradolf, you can see the pictures in the dedicated thread. I visited Thun as well, it will take time to publish the pictures (I took plenty).

Next weekend there will be the annual event in Full.

What collection are you going to visit in Berlin? I am aware there is a Luftwaffe Museum in Gatow. Is there anything more worth a visit?

I asked because my family would like to visit Berlin, and so far I am only aware of Gatow's Museum in that area.

The Deutsches Technikmuseum Berlin has a great collection of WW2 planes such as Messerschmitt Bf-109 and Bf-110, JU-52, JU-87 wreck, Fi-103 (a.k.a V1 rocket), Horten Ho-IIL, Rheintochter R-3 rocket, und so weiter..

They are trying to rebuild a Focke Wulf FW-200..

I am back from Wien. Indoor both flash and tripod are forbidden, so most shots are barely okay.

Outdoor was fine, but I've got too much sun and hard shadows, an overcast day would be better. Even winter, assuming no snow and rain, would be a better choice for a outdoor photography over there.

There was a temp exhibition focused on experimental and prototype weapons, very, very cool. I've got pictures of cool austro-hungarian artillery prototypes. There was an incredible series of small arms prototype too.

At the LuftwaffeMuseum, they have the KettenRad and not anything else with tracks.

But if you are an air enthusiast its a great place with the worlds first supersonic-capable plane ME Komet an BF 109 and lots of jets.
