M39 AUV in Calistoga, CA
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

LOL! Yeah, but you get to travel all over the place checking vehicles out. I'm certainly jealous of that! Laughing

BTW, we hit 30+mph during our ride around the owner's vineyard. They said that they've taken it over 60 in the past!

IIRC, a stripped M39 hulk was offered some time ago on MilWeb, reportedly the owner stripped it to get parts for his M18.

The M39 was donated by its owners, the Upton brothers, last weekend to the MVTF. I'll post photos of it's arrival later tonight in a new thread.
