Rumour/scuttlebut about what Wheatcroft's got!
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

An Elefant!
And I don't mean a grey, four-legged thing either!
Rumour stems from an Admin over on the HMVF forum, who's been crawling all over his S-Boat.

No photos - no tank...

Off: what about Aberdeen Tiger?
What is it's current condition?
Have they started it's engine?

Well, i see suspension of Elefant few years ago on the photos of Wheatcroft's spare parts. Not surprised if he buy remains in Western Ukraine - they used near Lvov in july 1944.

I agree with Taranov and Koluchiy. I've already read "somewhere" that KW has got some Elefant/Ferdinand running gear parts, however I don't think that he has enough spare parts to rebuilt a complete tank.

For what's worth, years ago, during an interview, he said he was very near to get an Elefant hull, but he arrived too late, and the wreck was scrapped.

As far as anyone outside of Mr Wheatcroft's organisation knows, it's still sitting in his yard, under a tarpaulin and will remain there until the dispute is resolved.

What dispute should be resolved?
